February 16 - Cruising the Great Australian Bight

We are at sea again today and as with most sea days we opted to see the lecturers.  The first one was on an Australian Criminal and was being presented by Adam Ford, the archaeologist.  Unfortunately 15 minutes into his presentation he had to call it off as he was seasick.  Oh well.  They later announced that when they were in port they would be recording his next two presentations so that we could see them on the TV.

We did see the lecture on a WWII naval battle that was fought north of Australia in Java.

The rest of the day was leisurely and we didn’t even wander out for the show.  We did have dinner with a couple of very interesting individuals and we spent a long time visiting with them.  We have enjoyed all of our dinner companions.  Unfortunately it is hard to remember names as we often don’t see them again for days at a time.
