March 28 – Cruising the Atlantic Ocean

We are sailing today and so have lots of lectures.  Ambassador Adam Ereli talked about the life of Ambassadors and Ambassador Marc Ginsberg talked about the fight against ISIS.  In the afternoon we saw another presentation by Tim Severin, this one was about the Jason Voyage.  He built a replica of a Bronze Age galley and, following the stories about Jason’s voyage, he sailed the boat from Greece, through the Dardanelles, to Georgia (the country in Asia, not the state).

The evening’s entertainment was the MacDonald brothers.  They were excellent entertainers (singing, violin, accordion and penny whistles) but their Scottish brogue was so strong that is was sometimes hard to understand them when they talked.
